"PROCEED WITH CAUTION"

He was an Ice Skater and she was the ice.

The first time they met it was like love at first sight.

Smooth as a crystal and clean as a whistle,

Ms. Ice was cold, pure and bright as a nickel.

No guy could pass by without her catching their eye.

Read a sign that warned Skaters to be careful when riding.

But John wasn’t worried about anything but the sight of him gliding.

Up and down, round and round,

He did doughnuts, loop the loops and left skid marks on Ms. Ice.

He did so without thinking twice.

Little did John know, he was gonna have to pay the price.

See, Ms. Ice was special.

A special kind of special.

Have you ever heard of the saying, take care of your vessel?*

Well, like many other men,

John THOUGHT he had an easy ride,

and failed to realize

that he ignored the CLEAR sign..

“PROCEED WITH CAUTION”..

read the first line.

Had John entered the arena with his mind, he would’ve noticed the second bold line.

“ALL RIDERS MUST COMPLETE A SPECIAL TRAINING COURSE PRIOR TO SKATING ON THIS ICE.

ANY RIDER WHO ENTERS WITHOUT PROPER INSTRUCTION MAY BE AT RISK OF SEVERE BODILY INJURY, RESULTING IN PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL DAMAGES THAT MAY NOT BE COMPENSATED FOR”.

John flipped then dipped then SPLAT.

Slipped right on his back,

and Ms. Ice cracked.

Inside her was a pool full of insecurities, worry and lack.

John drowned in these things with no intent on offering something back.

Something like love, encouragement, or motivating facts.

“YIELD”

Read another sign.

Of course, John paid it no mind.

See, the ice was her protector, and the signs were her shields.

John suffered damages that only God could heal,

Because he was too blinded by her clean sleek surFACE,

that he ignored the dangers of something that looks so perfect.

Love is kind,

Love is pure,

Love is gentle.

And,

Reading is fundamental.
